In May 2021, we took a trip down to Dorset for the week. Staying at the Neale’s as a base, we explore the South coast.
There’s some lovely walks to Chapman’s Pool and also Old Harry’s Rock, plus a trip to the Wimborne Pig for a delicious lunch.
We welcome in the New Year in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. We take in all of the sights, eat delicious food in canal side restaurants and even take a trip to Sweden on New Year’s Day!
An Autumn trip North to the Lake District. We were lucky enough to stay in an amazing cabin just off Lake Windermere. We did some walks around the National Park, climbed the Haystacks Peak, and saw some pretty cool waterfalls.
Our final road trip in New Zealand. The Catlins Coast has dramatic coastlines, waterfalls, penguins and lots more.
Queenstown is the adventure capital of the World – or so they say! We try out zip lining, luge-ing, gold panning and get to experience a traditional Maori performance. I then tackle the Kawarau Bridge Bungy Jump!
Wanaka was possibly our favourite place in the whole of New Zealand, it had literally everything! Amazing scenery, adrenaline rush activities, long walks and plenty more! We climb Roy’s Peak and go canyoning down the Niger River.
The World famous Milford Sound. We cruise around the beautiful fiord, before heading to the underwater observatory to see the rare Black Coral. It’s then time to hop in a kayak and paddle around Harrison Cove – not to mention a trip up Key Summit for spectacular views!
We had reached the Fiordlands of the South Island. Te Anau is very much the gateway to Milford Sound, and the drive is beautiful. Lakes, creeks, waterfalls and of course snow-capped mountains makes for an enjoyable trip.
The Otago region of the South Island is home to the Moeraki Boulders and also the town of Dunedin. We spend a day or so, visiting some of the sights including the World’s Steepest Residential Street!
Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park is home to 19 of New Zealand’s biggest mountains, including the biggest Aoraki standing at 3,724 metres. We do a few walks around the National Park admiring the glacial terrain – truly stunning.
